The wind is cold, glacial. And cut my face as sterilized needles. Heavy clouds and the sky is black. The acid rain comes down; and row my eyes like morphine tears. He’s still talking about his father, A mild man, who died in solitude. He went in the tundra and is not returned. He said that a storm’s coming, a radioactive and nebulous storm: a wave that does not infringe on the beach, but rewinds and floating in the current. As morphine tears to ralenty. The lamp is turned off and the man goes away, took the gun from the jacket. "Come back soon, I have to visit the military camp, Don’t wait me. Finish vodka, if you want." The afternoon is so dark, outside the window. I don’t say that the clouds are moving, but it's the world that run below. I think will rain yet. The boards of the ceiling are rot, and drip water on the carpet, like cold morphine tears. He’s no back. He left me here. Water is on cooker, I hear the boil, but I can’t get up. The light trembles and the voice re-echoes in the room. He’s calling me from the tundra: "I don’t want die alone. No one should die alone. Come, I wait for you, and don’t forget the vodka ... "

about

30 June 1908, 7:17 a.m. local time, Evenki natives and Russian settlers in the hills northwest of Lake Baikal observed a column of bluish light, nearly as bright as the Sun, moving across the sky. About ten minutes later, there was a flash and a sound similar to artillery fire. Eyewitnesses closer to the explosion reported that the source of the sound moved from the east to the north of them. The sounds were accompanied by a shock wave that knocked people off their feet and broke windows hundreds of kilometres away. The majority of witnesses reported only the sounds and the tremors, and did not report seeing the explosion. Eyewitness accounts vary regarding the sequence and duration of the events.

The explosion registered at seismic stations across Eurasia. It is estimated that, in some places, the resulting shock wave was equivalent to an earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale. It also produced fluctuations in atmospheric pressure strong enough to be detected in Great Britain. Over the next few days, night skies in Asia and Europe were aglow; it has been theorized that this was due to light passing through high-altitude ice particles that had formed at extremely low temperatures, a phenomenon that many years later would be produced by space shuttles. In the United States, the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory and the Mount Wilson Observatory observed a months-long decrease in atmospheric transparency due to an increase in suspended dust particles.
